HyruleCentral is what some of you can come to call a portal for other Legend of Zelda Sites and RPG websites. From you, you can be redirected to other sites as long as they belong to our network. Besides that, HyruleCentral is also striving to become one of the big contenders for top sites on any list. We want to show you and have you experience what Legend of Zelda truly is! We will be bringing you monthly contest and some very cool interactive activities where you can all join in and win awesome prizes.
HyruleCentral came to be because of two very important websites in our past. Not only did they die because of lack of commitment but because of lack of content and activity for the community. So let us start with the site that paved the way for Hyrule Central.
Final Fantasy Spira
Final Fantasy Spira was like no other Final Fantasy fan site out at the time of its upbringing. Not only did it post the most recent news, but it also had the largest collection of sprites from games ranging from Final Fantasy to Legend of Zelda. FFSpira began very small, but within a few weeks other larger sites became to recognize the true strengths of it.
We affiliated ourselves with huge sites at the time, such as FFRepublic, Ultimate Gamer, Hell and Heaven Net and other great sites. We had a huge community that consisted of over 700+ members and 20,000+ posts! Over the range of a year FFSpira became to be known as the place for gaming sprites and multimedia, hence, where HyruleCentral is coming from.
At the end of it all, FFSpira was doomed to be brought down because of a few issues with other administrators and staff members that never showed up to repost. Also at the time, my apartment burned down and lost my computer which including all the files to FFSpira since I was hosting the site on a personal computer. All there is left of Final Fantasy Spira nowadays is Archive.org’s history and archives of FFSpira
RPG Reviewers
Time to time there arrives a new type of site linked to Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda. That site for 2009 was RPG Reviewers! RPGRev was like no other site seen at the time or even in the past, we brought site reviews for RPG based sites but most importantly those of Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy genre.
RPG Reviewers never became part of the big picture of content based sites, but they did offer a few reviews and write-ups on how-to’s for administrators and webmasters. Besides never making the greatness that FFSpira had, RPGRev did enjoy having the Administrators of other sites join in and discuss with myself.
RPG Reviewers now stands alone on its own domain name: RPGREVIEWERS.COM, it has become completely dead and with no visitors able to enjoy its content it once had. If RPG Reviewers did help us with something is bring you stunning graphics and displays for our content and layout usages. It paved the way to to having this nicely designed site you now call HyruleCentral!
As many of you have seen, these sites can definitely be seen in HyruleCentral’s design and content usage, we just hope that one day HyruleCentral can become what these sites had to die for to create!
